Cancellation Policy
AAPTE notification of a cancellation can be as late as 6:00 am the day of the event for courses starting @ 9:30 AM and as late as 3 Hours prior to the start time of an evening course. All courses canceled due to weather will be rescheduled at a later date. Students will receive notice of the rescheduled class within 2 days of the canceled clinic. Students not able to attend the rescheduled date will receive a credit to apply toward another CEC course. There are no refunds due to weather cancellations. Registrant Cancellation
The Academy has a No - Refund Policy. Notice of cancellation and rescheduling requests received within 24 hours prior to a clinic, will be eligible to receive a tuition credit, less a 15% cancellation fee. All tuition credits must be redeemed within one year of the original course date. Cancellation notice / rescheduling requests must be sent to the Academy by registered land mail, emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. Lateness Policy for Continuing Education Clinics: There is a 15-minute grace period for lateness. After 15-minutes credits will be deducted from the total credit value of the course based on credits per hour.
Registration Confirmation: Confirmations will be via email. Please check spam folder.
Course Location: The Academy may from time to time have to change the location of the course due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified no later than 24 hrs in advance of such change. Course relocation is not a reason for a refund.

The AAPTE. does not discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, military status, sexual orientation, marital status or family status.
Exam Confirmation
Once registration has been completed, the candidate will be notified by email with confirmation of the time and location for the exam. It is suggested that spam folders be checked for exam registration confirmation.
AAPTE Cancellation Policy
• In the event of inclement weather, notification of cancellation will be announced on the AAPTE web site, Facebook page and on phone line. We recommend candidates check these sources to confirm that the exam is as scheduled.
Candidate Cancellation / Rescheduling
Candidates wishing to reschedule an exam date may do so by calling, emailing or faxing the AAPTE. Rescheduling must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to original exam date. Rescheduled date must be within one year of the originally scheduled exam date. There will be a $25 administration fee charged for rescheduling. There are no exam refunds for candidate cancellation.
Failure to Appear
Candidates failing to appear for a scheduled exam date will be charged a $25 administration fee if they wish to reschedule within 1 year, after which time the full registration fee will be required. There will be no refund for fees paid. Candidates may request the rescheduling fee be waived under the following circumstances with valid documentation:
All requests must be submitted in writing to the AAPTE, P.O. Box 539, East Meadow, NY 11554 within 10 business dates of the scheduled exam. Request should include any documentation to substantiate the request for fee waiver.
