This 2- day course will present the link between nutrition and human performance. Information obtained from this course will help participants to understand what it takes to perform / compete optimally and successfully. You will gain an understanding of the physiological affects of each fuel source and how to practically apply these methods to an athlete's program. Topics to be discussed include: Roles of our biological systems, hormones and fuel sources on athletic performance, pre/post meal consumption, fluid and electrolyte needs, energy expenditure and body composition/weight concerns for athletes. 5.0 AAPTE CECs June 4 & 5 9:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m.
