NFC Amenity Management
NFC Amenity Management, one of the Nation’s largest Health Club and Spa Management Firms is seeking an energetic, motivated Fitness Trainer to assist clients at one of our Residential Fitness Centers in Garden City, New York. As a member of the NFC team, you will motivate clients by designing professional quality and safe wellness and personal training programs. We offer superior support and training as you develop your skills in the fitness industry.
Status: Part-Time Salary: $10 per hour plus personal training opportunities at a 50% split (allowed on-shift). Flexible hours.
Job Purpose: To assist Manager in servicing members and coordinating wellness activities for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees fitness center teaching safe and effective exercise principles.
- Provides personal training.
- Develops, implements, and administers wellness programs.
- Assists with annual wellness activities such as health, fitness and nutrition fairs.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge about exercise, health and fitness by remaining current with trends in the industry.
- Ensures the 5 Diamond Experience by maintaining the standards set in the NFC Amenity Management Mission Statement / Values; Standards and Expectations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements;
- A passion for fitness & strong customer service/sales orientation
- Strong individual and team contributor
- Prior personal training experience preferred
- AED/CPR Certification
- Most importantly a desire to grow within the company!
Educational Requirements - Valid Personal Training certification from AAPTE.

Key Job Responsibilities
• Model and promote the mission, values and guiding principles of TSI through appropriate appearance, words and actions
• Engage in opportunities to positively interact with members to grow active client penetration
• Uphold TSI’s mission, values and guiding principles by delivering personal training sessions that meet or exceed company standards and drive personal training business growth
• Elevate the member experience by actively engaging with members on the fitness floor to enhance their fitness journey
• Effectively conduct fitness orientations that drive personal training revenue
• Support AGM - Fitness in scheduling personal fitness workouts, completing new client paperwork, maintaining signature sheets, and inputting all sessions
• Partner with club sales team to seamlessly engage prospective and existing members to maximize their fitness journey, transition to ancillary programs or products to create a member for life
• Overall accountability for ensuring fitness equipment is maintained and fitness floor meets or exceeds operational excellence standards
• Document all health risk concerns and incidents and report to management
• Ensure all fitness and CPR/AED certifications are maintained
Minimum Requirements for Employment
Introduction to Personal Fitness Training (IPFT) powered by the National Academy of Sports Medicine required& CPR/AED required within 30 days of hire
