Manipulate Resistance Training Loading Patterns to Optimize Strength Through discussion and exercise analysis students will be able to answer: How do we optimize strength? How can we manipulate an exercise to make it easier or harder without changing the amount of load? Does resistance change throughout the joint motion of an exercise? Why are we stronger in certain joint positions of an exercise? What affects the ability of a muscle to produce force?

This is a hands-on practical application course.

Topic's include:

  • Variable/Accommodating resistance
  • Internal and external moment arm
  • Resistive force/torque
  • Lines of resistance
  • Active and Passive insufficiency
