The relationship/link between nutrition, physiological health, and body composition.
This course is intended to present the essential components necessary to identify key elements of nutrition. We will discuss and elaborate on food versus non-foods that are often underlying causes of pathophysiology. aapte 2.5 credits
Topics include:
• The role of nutrition on health and body composition (neural, cardiovascular, metabolism, endocrine system)
• Identifying hidden neurotoxins in food
• The role of nutrition on neurodegeneration
• How nutrition optimizes or disrupts hormones
• The role of nutrition in regulating cellular metabolism
• Nutritional Strategies to improve health and body composition
Learning Objectives:
- Have a better understanding of the effects neurotoxins in “food”
- Identify what neurotoxins are and their role in neurophysiology and dysfunction
- Identify healthy options for supporting physiological and neurophysiological health
