      APTE may provide notification of cancellation as late as three (3) hours prior to the start time of class.

      In the event of cancellations due to weather, technology, power, systems failure, or unforeseen circumstances the student will receive an email notification within seventy-two (72) hours detailing the rescheduled date. Students unable to attend the rescheduled course date will receive a credit to apply towards another CEC course.

      In the case of quarantine or any other type of event that interferes with the ability of a course to continue in a “face to face” environment, the APTE may continue the course in a virtual format.

      There is a no refund policy for rescheduled or relocated events, or delivery format changes.

      Cancellation’s information will be posted on the following:

      *Notice of cancellation and rescheduling requests must be received Forty-Eight (48) hours or more prior to a course and will be eligible to receive course credit, less a fifteen (15%) cancellation fee. All tuition credits issued must be redeemed within one year of the issue date.

      There are no REFUNDS or CREDIT for CPR-AED or home study courses.

      There is a seventy percent (70%) cancellation fee for the cadaver anatomy course.

      There is a fifteen (15) minute grace period. After the first fifteen (15) minutes and each additional quarter-hour, 0.20 credits will be deducted from the total credit value of the course based on credits issued per hour (0.83).

      Students will have forty-eight (48) hours to cancel their course registration. A refund will be given minus a $195 materials fee. After forty-eight (48) hours a no refund policy is enforced.

      If a student must withdraw for extenuating circumstances after the course begins, the student may write to the APTE board for review.

      CPT-EFS Exam Terms and Conditions

      Non-Discrimination Policy: The APTE does not discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, military status, sexual orientation, marital status or family status.

      Exam Confirmation: Once registration has been completed, the candidate will be notified by email with a confirmation of the time and location for the exam. It is suggested that spam folders be checked for exam registration confirmation.

      APTE Exam Cancellation: In the event of inclement weather, notification of cancellation will be announced on the APTE Facebook page. We recommend candidates check these sources to confirm that the exam is as scheduled

      Candidate Rescheduling: Candidates wishing to reschedule an exam date may do so by emailing cdesimone@aapte.org. Rescheduling requests must be made a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours prior to the exam date. A rescheduling administration fee of $50.00 will be applied.

      The rescheduling date must be within one year of the original exam date. There are no refunds for candidate cancellation or failure to appear.

      Candidates may request the rescheduling fee be waived under the following circumstances with valid documentation:

      • Serious illness
      • Death in family
      • Disabling accident
      • Court appearance
      • Military deployment

      CPT-RTS1 Recertification Application Truth of Information

      CPT-RTS1 Recertification Application Truth of Information

      By submitting a completed recertification form you attest to the truth and accuracy of the information you have provided to the APTE. Additionally, you attest to having a current CPR-AED Certification (online courses are not accepted.)

      The APTE shall conduct random audits of its recertifying candidates. Upon request, you must provide the AAPTE with the required supporting documents within ninety (90) days of the request. Supporting documentation includes Proof of coursework completion, letters of approved courses that were approved via petition process, and a CPR-AED card.

      Failure to produce supporting documentation within the stated period will render your certification VOID. There will be no further consideration.

      Course(s) submitted for petition are not guaranteed to be approved. A petition must include the required information and must meet the AAPTE’s guidelines for approval which can be found online in the Recertification Handbook. Candidates will be notified within ten (10) business days or sooner approval or denial. There is a no refund policy for the petition process.

      Course tuition payment plan option

      Course tuition payment plan option

      Courses paid using the payment plan option have a no refund policy. Registrants using the payment plan option agree to the following:

      1. The first payment upon registration.
      2. Additional payments will be invoiced in accordance with the course payment plan.
      3. Any payment not received will be subject to a late fee of .3%
      4. Any unpaid balance will be subject to forwarding debt collection and credit reporting agencies.

      I understand that I am responsible to monitor my own exercise abilities and participation during any course that offers hands-on training or volunteering for demonstration throughout the course-lab sessions and assume the risk of participating in such exercises. I further agree to hold harmless the APTE, its affiliates, and its staff members conducting the program from all claims, suits, losses, or related cause of action for damages during or arising in any way from the program.
