This course is designed for the novice personal trainer interested in developing practical skills and training techniques. Bringing the personal trainer from classroom theory into practical application.

Take an in-depth look at the AAPTE sequential method of exercise prescription and programming model.

September 9th 6:00 -9:00 pm

September 16th 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Plus two hours additional Independent Work

Topics include:

  • The initial client consults- health screening and client assessments
  • Program design- developing a safe and effective exercise program
  • Program implementation – modification-progression/regression
  • Practical application of theoretical bio-mechanical principles
  • Qualities of Effective Trainers

The participant will learn:

  • How to engage with clients to achieve appropriate results
  • How to create an exercise prescription and program for safe and effective cardiorespiratory and strength training
  • How to program for a variety of fitness levels based on a client-defined approach.
