UPDATED 19" This course includes a comprehensive overview of the adaptations to both aerobic and anaerobic challenges. Each physiological system will be presented. Key points: anaerobic vs aerobic training, muscular strength, power, endurance and hypertrophy.
Upon completion students will:
- review the various training stimuli (anaerobic vs aerobic training, muscular strength, power, endurance and hypertrophy)
- discuss each physiological systems adaptation to training (nervous, energy, cardiac, pulmonary and muscular)
- discuss the relevance to the health and fitness professional and influence on programming
