This course will discuss the effective manipulation of synergist, agonist, and antagonist muscle relationships utilizing joint range of motion to optimize results. Muscle stacking and movement patterns will be practiced in the gym. A review of the upper extremity and trunk muscle anatomy and their mechanical ability at various joint angles and lengths will set the basis for hands-on training in the gym (part-2. 11-13 9:00-2:45).
Learning Objectives:
Effective manipulation of synergist, agonist, and antagonist muscle relationships utilizing joint range of motion to optimize results.
Effectively offloading weight and adding weight at various muscle lengths and joint angles.
Concentric - Isometric and eccentric muscle contraction variation.
Using various resistance profiles and joint angles to create an optimal resistance training exercise.
Understanding muscle response to pushing and pulling exercises.
