This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the cardiovascular system. Students will explore the anatomical structure, function and common conditions of the cardiovascular system.
- Understand common cardiac conditions (Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiac Dysrhythmias, Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure)
- Interpret a cardiac stress test and how to use this information in exercise prescription
- Discuss normal and abnormal rhythms on EKGs
- Exercise recommendations for this population
